I love coming to your blog for inspiration!
Just this very day, I was speaking to an obstetrician friend at church and she said, and I quote "I prefer c-sections, you know, you can schedule them".
(She doesn't know how mad I am about mine.)
I forgive her as person of course, and she is older and was practicing in the Phillipines so things perhaps are different. But still, if you have that attitude you shouldn't be delivering babies!!!Sarah Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354454314458661062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-410440710208780456.post-61331971616600258522009-02-15T16:28:00.000-07:002009-02-15T16:28:00.000-07:00I am mostly angry that my questions weren't fully ...I am mostly angry that my questions weren't fully answered about why I was being induced. I didn't even have the right frame of mind to question it. So his fluid is a little low... what does that mean? So the placenta was hard and calcified when delivered... what does that mean? So I was ten days overdue... why shouldn't I wait? I realize that I didn't ask, but I would've loved if my midwives had offered that information, rather than just setting an induction date and going with it.Liz Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07549586800620411712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-410440710208780456.post-14892409640925560272009-02-13T09:36:00.000-07:002009-02-13T09:36:00.000-07:00What a wonderful post. I teach HypnoBirthing in the Orem area--for that very reason.
Thanks for posting this! I was actually pretty optimistic about my birth right after having Connor, thinking that I was the problem and that I had miraculously been saved from what was destined to be a disaster. But now? I'm fuming about it. So while I felt respected at the time, I realize just how much of a machine I was dealing with, rather than a natural process.Liz Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07549586800620411712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-410440710208780456.post-78085313751136673812009-02-10T13:43:00.000-07:002009-02-10T13:43:00.000-07:00I love the conclusions.
